Ambrose Farms is, to the best of our knowledge, the largest CSA Farm in South Carolina. And their biggest pick up site is right here at our kitchen’s on Ashley Avenue. We enjoy an extra large share each week for ourselves, and often are “gifted” with extra shares that don’t get claimed. And while we try to do that “no waste” thing through composting, recycling and just being outright creative with found food, sometimes it’s an absolute challenge to use it all. Last week’s bounty had more pickles than we knew what to do with. And just like life giving you lemons so it’s time to make limoncello… we knew it was time to get the mason jars out. (Head’s up Scratchy friends, a chilled jar is on it’s way.)
